the fall alexis mabille ready-to-wear show seemed to be a show of excess; while the collection wasn’t over the top, it wasn’t exactly subtle by any means. it was, perhaps, a show more fitted for the couture season … at least some of the designs. the nails, done by essie, featured an elaborate twist on an old staple (which seemed to also reflect the collection itself.) i recreated the look by using essie licorice, zoya sooki for the accent nail, and essie penny talk for the copper tips.
