i liked style’s maya singer’s review of the roland mouret show, as she summed it up thusly: “Everything here was edgy and angled, from the squared-off shoulders of Mouret’s coats to the daggerlike V-necks on his tops and dresses.” the nails at the show perfectly reflected the collection itself, with a deep v, color-blocked chevron. the makeup was done by nars, but the nail polish featured chanel’s cult favorite, rouge noir. i recreated the look by starting with a lilac nail (i used essie’s lilacism) and then taping off a triangle section before painting the rest of the nail a deep plum.
