resort shows aren’t usually my favorite because i’m obsessed with all things chunky sweaters, boots, and layers. the resort season is a time for swimsuits and coverups, breezy dresses and casual suits for brunches and lunches. chanel’s 2013 resort show took place in the gardens at versailles, with models walking around the fountains, which painted the perfect backdrop for the collection which seemed to take some inspiration from the lavish decadence we’ve come to associate with none other than marie antoinette. the nails were a muted pink, the color called tendresse, perfect for the no-fuss, on-the-go holidayer.
