for the first time in the fashion house’s history, chanel broke out nail art for the fall haute couture 2012 show — a very forties affair.  peter phillips, the then creative director of  makeup, used a color previously seen on the spring 2012 ready-to-wear show, called may, and a discontinued chrome color.
