this season, jill stuart fashioned clothes for the transitional party girl, a twenty-something who is maybe getting tired of the bar scene but still likes to rock out at a concert every now and then.  there were many short shift dresses, plenty of plunging necklines, and this season’s ubiquitous favorite: crop tops.

the manicure for the show suited the collection. done by essie, the nails featured the newly-released fall color ‘after school boy blazer.’ it’s a deep navy shade, a dressed up, elegant shade that could maybe suggest subversion without crossing into punk territory.
