the ‘oil-slick’ nails at the rebecca minkoff fall ready-to-wear show were probably my favorite nails from any show to date; and that includes new york, london, milan, and paris fashion weeks. her collection was youthful and preppy with a sophisticated undertone, and the nails suited the collection to a (novelty) tee. essie was on hand backstage, carefully applying the technique to each of the model’s nails. the colors used were aruba blue, go overboard, blue rhapsody, penny talk, and as gold as it gets. scroll through for more info on how to recreate the look.
