of her spring collection, nicole miller said she was inspired by the opulence of versailles. there was a structured playfulness to the collection that i thought fit the theme of the show. nicole miller always has great nail art at her shows, this one, like last season’s, done by butter london. butter london gave their followers a chance to choose the nail art to be shown on the runway from three choices. my favorite look won — an opulent but slightly subversive, messy glitter gradient. bl used the 444 and the black knight lacquers. i couldn’t find the 444, so i used opi’s designer de better as the base. to recreate the look, start with an opaque, gold glitter base over the full nail, then, using a makeup sponge, add a darker glitter gradient to the tips. slick on a clear top coat to even everything out and voila.

if you’d like to purchase the 444 or black knight, you can do so here for black knight, and here for 444.
