there was something for everyone at oscar de la renta’s spring ready to wear show. there were outfits for socialites as well as the political wife set (as well as a combination of the two; the two bush daughters sat front row at the show). i have such a love for oscar’s designs, as well as the designer as a person. he seems warm-hearted and kind; he also is one of the few designers who makes an effort to show his clothes on a racially diverse cast of models each runway season.
the nail polish at the spring show was a perfect, shimmering ivory called flirt. he also showed a bright pink on some of the models, but i’m partial to this gorgeous neutral. it perfectly accentuated the collection, adding interest without distraction. scroll through for pictures from backstage, my favorites from the collection, as well as where to purchase the polish.
