karl lagerfeld could have named his spring haute couture show of 2010 the “silver linings playbook.” of the collection, he said, “Silver and pastel … It’s the first time in my whole career I’ve done a collection without black or navy. There’s not one gold button.” as someone who much prefers silver to gold, it was a dreamy collection.
one of the most memorable things to come from the collection was the nail polish, called silver. or, more specifically, called duo platinum silver. it was released as a limited edition set, containing a fixing base coat and the polish itself. it is one of my favorite chanel polishes and unlike many other chrome polishes, this one goes on flawlessly, without streaking. it was the perfect accessory to the collection.
